The Wild History of Coleslaw Wrestling

What started as a wild idea turned into one of the most talked-about events at the Patch. Coleslaw Wrestling brings laughs, crowds, and pure biker-bar fun together in a way only the Cabbage Patch can. It’s messy, it’s loud, and every Biketoberfest it draws a crowd that lines up early to claim a spot around the pit.

Here’s how it runs: the tournament kicks off on Saturday of Biketoberfest. Doors to the viewing area open at noon, but the real action doesn’t get underway until around 1pm — which gives everybody time to grab a drink, find their spot, and watch Roger fire up the crowd before the first match. Budweiser and Cabbage Patch Bar co-sponsor the whole event, “Super Dave” runs the mic as MC, and “$3 Johnny” keeps things honest as referee.

Competitors don’t wrestle for a trophy — they wrestle for bragging rights, a crowd’s worth of cheering, and free beer all afternoon from the Cabbage Car. It’s rowdy, it’s a little chaotic, and it’s exactly the kind of event that only makes sense at a real biker bar. We keep it PG-13 with families in mind, but we’ll say it straight: this is a biker bar, and occasional nudity does happen. View at your own discretion.
